Professional Development
CAL offers workshops and trainings to schools and school districts in the effective use of our assessments and we can work with you to create a professional development plan that meets your unique requirements.
A typical SOPA, ELLOPA or COPE training is a 2-day workshop that familiarizes participants with the assessment instrument and includes practice interviewing and rating students. SOPA and ELLOPA trainings are also offered each year in conjunction with regional and national conferences.
We also offer online training courses that teach participants how to administer and rate students’ oral language using the SOPA, and we work collaboratively with educators to customers courses to best meet their needs.
