Activating Purchased BEST
Plus Test Administrations |
PURCHASING BEST PLUSPricing is based on the quantity of BEST Plus administrations purchased. You may review the price sheet, our online store, or download an order form. The minimum number of BEST Plus computer administrations that can be purchased is 20 and all orders must be in multiples of 20 or 50. The print-based version of BEST Plus can only be ordered in packets of 20. Programs with trained test administrators can purchase and activate BEST Plus test administrations. State-level organizations or larger programs have the option of purchasing test administrations in bulk and then allotting those administrations to smaller programs that have trained test administrators.
How can I practice administering BEST Plus after attending training? Each individual who attends the initial BEST Plus training workshop receives 10 free administrations credited to their organization. These administrations may be accessed using the maroon-colored BEST Plus Test CD. This way, new administrators can receive authentic practice in a real testing situation where the test score will be captured at the end of the test. Additionally, the black Administrator Practice CD, provided at training, allows you to practice administering the test an unlimited number of times free of charge, without capturing any test scores on the score report.
How do I order BEST Plus test administrations? When you purchase computer-adaptive and print-based test administrations, each purchase is entered into the BEST Plus database with the name of your program or organization. Every purchase you make is entered as a separate purchase. All of the purchases for your program or organization are pooled together (e.g., two separate purchases of 100 test administrations would be combined for a total pool of 200). Activations are drawn from that pool each time you go online or call to activate tests with a Registration Key. BEST Plus cannot activate test administrations from a specific purchase order, credit card, or check.
What if a state or large organization is paying for my tests and my program runs out of test administrations? If an umbrella organization purchases test administrations for you and you run out of administrations, you need to contact the umbrella organization and order through them. Any subsequent allotments must come directly from the original umbrella organization. We cannot allot test administrations from such a contract without prior approval.
Will there be an additional cost for the BEST Plus Score Management Software? No. The Score Management Software is available free to download and an earlier version with fewer features is also included on the maroon Test CD provided to each administrator at the initial training workshop.
Is there an additional cost for scoring the print-based version of BEST Plus using the Score Management Software? No. A complimentary computer administration is included in the price of each print-based test administration purchased and credited to your program’s account automatically when print-based tests are purchased. These complimentary administrations are used to enter scores from the print-based version into the Score Management Software to generate a final scale score. Print-based scoring administrations are activated the same way as computer administrations. |
