Download the Score Management Software enhancement

Before downloading the BEST Plus Score Management Software enhancement, please print and read the following:

1. The BEST Plus Score Management Software enhancement installs directly on the computer and does not run off the Test CD. (file name C:\BEST_Plus\BEST_Plus_SMS.exe)
2. You will need to have run BEST Plus from the maroon CD at least once to install the scores database on your computer before using the software enhancement.
3. Once installed, you do not need to use the maroon Test CD in your computer’s CD-ROM drive in order to run the software enhancement.
4. If you run the Score Management Software from the maroon Best Plus Test CD, you will not be able to use the enhanced functions because you will be running the original Score Management Software and not the enhancement version.
5. You will not lose any student data by installing the BEST Plus Score Management Software enhancement.
6. It is recommended that you download and print complete instructions on using the Score Management Software enhancement, by clicking here to download of the Score Management Software User Guide Addendum.
7. Once you have downloaded and printed your Score Management Software User Guide Addendum, you may install the Score Management Software enhancement on your computer by clicking the button below.

After downloading the Score Management Software enhancement to your computer, follow the instructions below to install the software onto your computer(s). You must complete these steps in order to use the enhanced software from your computer.

1. To install the Score Management Software enhancement on the computer you are currently using, select “Run” when prompted by Windows, and the software will automatically install itself onto your computer (file name C:\BEST_Plus\BEST_Plus_SMS.exe). Keep in mind BEST Plus must already have been run on the computer in order to install this update.
2. To install the Score Management Software enhancement on a different computer, select “Save” and choose a location to save the file (e.g., your desktop, a network folder, a flash drive). You can then copy the enhancement to multiple computers.
   
• Remember: BEST Plus must already have been run on any computer where you plan to install the enhancement.
• After the Score Management Software enhancement has been copied onto the computer where you plan to use it, double-click on the file, select “Run,” and the software will automatically install itself onto the computer (file name C:\BEST_Plus\BEST_Plus_SMS.exe).
  
3. Once the Score Management Software enhancement is installed, you can create a shortcut to allow you to access the software readily. To create a shortcut, go to My Computer, select the C drive, and open the BEST_Plus folder.
• To run the updated software, double click on the BEST_Plus_SMS.exe file.


• To make a shortcut on your desktop, right click on the file and select “Send to, Desktop (create shortcut)” from the menu.
