The Vocabulary Instruction and Assessment for Spanish Speakers (VIAS) project is a 5-year program of research on the literacy and language development of Spanish-speaking English language learners. VIAS researchers are working to chart developmental trajectories in literacy and literacy-related language skills for these learners, develop and evaluate methods to enhance their vocabulary development, and develop tools for assessing their vocabulary skills.
