in Ghana: Bilingualism and Biliteracy
for Young Learners
CAL partnered with the Education Development Center on a USAID-funded project, Education Quality for All (EQUALL), to improve the quality of primary literacy education in Ghana. CAL led development of literacy standards and milestones, completed ESL pupil books, and contributed to teachers’ guides for biliteracy education. Learn more about the project.

TWI LogoCAL is currently updating the Directory of Two-Way Bilingual Immersion Programs in the U.S. The TWI directory is the only national resource that lists two-way immersion programs and tracks their growth and characteristics. It receives thousands of visitors per month and is consulted by researchers, practitioners, parents, and the media.

TIRF 2010 Sheikh Nahayan Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships

TIRF LogoTIRF – The International Foundation for English Language Education – is sponsoring the 2010 Sheikh Nahayan Fellowships for doctoral research on English language and teaching in the Arab world. TIRF is soliciting proposals from doctoral candidates who have completed their course work and have had a research plan approved by their faculty advisor or committee.
