Product Marketing Coordinator

Position Available:  Immediately

Division/Program: Language and Culture Resources/Services Team

Classification: Administrative Staff IV

Status: Exempt

Hours per week: Full time (35)

Salary:  $35,338 - $50,820 dependent upon qualifications

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Work under the direction of the Marketing Manager to provide a range of communications support with a focus on direct marketing and sales promotion activities. Develop direct marketing campaigns, including writing drafts based on recommendations from managers of business lines, marketing, and sales; develop and implement plans for direct sales campaigns (email and mail); and develop and manage lists in CAL’s contact database.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the direction of the Marketing Manager to provide direct marketing support for selected product and service lines and coordinate with CAL’s overall marketing and company communication activities
  • Manage database contacts, including list development, merges, segmentation, and direct marketing campaign management
  • Develop copy with an emphasis on writing emails, Web content, and sales promotion print materials
  • Manage production and implementation of print materials
  • Review CAL current materials and information and gather competitive materials and information to inform communications
  • Coordinate with the Publications team for vendor management and production
  • Help plan and coordinate conference participation for selected product and service lines under the umbrella of CAL’s overall conference strategy.


PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Works well independently, prioritizes duties appropriately, sets and meets deadlines, works well under pressure and handles multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to manage multiple promotions and campaigns simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Works collaboratively with others in the organization, providing thoughtful feedback on ideas and projects
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BS in marketing, advertising, communications preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in executing marketing and sales communication projects required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in creating effective marketing and sales copy for email, print, and the Web. Demonstrated experience with database marketing, email marketing, and direct mail campaigns.

Software Experience: Microsoft Office Suite and contact management software (GoldMine preferred). Experience with design software highly desirable, specifically InDesign and Photoshop. Experience with Dreamweaver a plus.
