About CAL

CAL’s Resource Library

The Center for Applied Linguistics has a library of language resources used by staff for research and projects. While it is not a lending library, the CAL library is available to the public by appointment and is an excellent place to do research, locate resources, and find information relevant to a wide variety of issues in language education.

Resources available include

  • A wide variety of journals on foreign language education, linguistics, second language acquisition, bilingualism, and English as a second/foreign language.

  • A complete collection of full-text documents from the former ERIC Clearinghouse on Languages and Linguistics

  • Bilingual dictionaries

  • A collection of CAL books on language education

  • Professional development resources for foreign language and ESL teachers

Please contact CAL to set up an appointment to visit the CAL library. The library is open Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. eastern time by appointment only.
