Teaching Reading to Students Learning English
This session will provide K-8 educators with an understanding of how successful reading instruction for students learning English differs from reading instruction for native English speakers. The workshop will explain how the recommendations of the National Literacy Panel (2006) have informed reading instruction for ELLs and will provide many effective strategies to improve instruction for ELL students.
