Sheltered Instruction in Two-Way Immersion Classrooms: Two-Way SIOP Model
The SIOP Model, a research-based framework for sheltered instruction, has been modified and utilized for Two-Way Immersion classrooms. The presenter will provide an overview of the Two Way SIOP Model, demonstrate learner activities used in TWI classrooms, and provide resources for leveraging content standards and language functions in both languages.
