Culture Shock: Yours and Theirs in the Classroom

Practitioners view the influence of their home culture and values on their own classroom. Using video, discussion, and cooperative readings, practitioners examine learner cultures and values. Practitioners receive tools to process unexpected culture clashes, integrate culture into lesson planning, and identify instructor and learner needs for adjustment and adaptation.
