Beliefs about Assessment and Language Learning: Findings from Focus Groups
This paper describes exploratory focus group research conducted with Arabic instructors and students as part of a project to develop assessment training resources. Focus group discussions showed areas of mismatch and overlap between instructors and students regarding beliefs about assessment and language learning with implications for language teacher education programs.

Investigating Assessment Literacy Through Teacher Professional Development
This paper presents findings from a study of assessment literacy of instructors of less commonly taught languages (LCTLs) participating in an assessment training course. Course assignments and surveys were analyzed to show what LCTL instructors know about assessment and how their knowledge changed over the course of the program.

Understanding Assessment: Resources for Language Teacher Educators
