Key Factors in Assessing Literate Environments
The purpose of this session was to focus attention on the importance of creating cultures where reading and writing are valued, and not just as school activities. A joint study team from the International Federation of Library Associations, the International Reading Association, and the Center for Applied Linguistics has compiled the results of an international survey. They presented its results and invited questions and discussion from the audience.
