Instructing English Learners in K-12 Classrooms: What Technology is Used?
This study examined teachers’ use of technology-based resources (TBRs) for instructing English learner students in mainstream and English as a second language classrooms in eight school districts, as reported in teacher and administrator interviews. The analyses examined the data in terms of four TBR categories: digital academic resources, digital productivity tools, digital communication/ networking tools, and digital classroom devices. The findings suggest areas for future research and issues to address in implementing TBRs for instruction of English learner students.
