Midiendo Exito: El desarrollo y la aplicación
de PODER
PODER addresses the need for instruments that can be used to measure the academic potential of Spanish-speaking students, to make informed placement decisions, and—when used in conjunction with English-language measurements—to create a comprehensive profile of a student’s development as a bilingual.

This presentation focuses on the development process of PODER K, drawing particular attention to their innovative design and format, engaging graphics and manipulatives, and salient, high-interest themes. Following a presentation of the development process, the presenters will discuss its applications and uses as they relate to important classroom, school, and systemic decisions.
