Panel: Best Practices for English Learners: Exploring Standards-Based Instruction
The panel explores standards-based instruction for English learners (ELs). Topics include: implications of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for ELs; the SIOP Model for meeting the CCSS for ELs; definitions of academic language and literacy for ELs; and, EL science instruction using the CCSS and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
