From Adult ABE/ESL to College Entry: Bridging the Language Gap
This workshop identify and compares the English language skills (reading and writing) addressed in ABE/ESL instruction to the English language skills (reading and writing) addressed in college entrance exams; analyzes and discusses gaps between these two areas; proposes strategies for addressing the gaps in ESL/ABE teacher training and instructional practices; and engages participants in developing strategies for their programs.
