View the conference website.

This event, The Quiet Evolution of Language and Cultural Relations in Canada: A Tribute to the Work of Wallace Lambert, will bring together leading academics, authors, researchers, practitioners, and others to look at the work of Wallace Lambert--its origins, contribution to scholarly research, and impact on Canadians.

The symposium will address the work of Dr. Lambert with respect to three broad domains: immersion/bilingual education, cognitive/neurocognitive aspects of bilingualism, and attitudes, motivations, and second language learning. In each of these areas, in addition to the legacy left by Wallace Lambert, the panelists will identify and address the challenges in the years ahead.
