Helping Middle and High School Low Literacy Students Develop Academic Language
This session will discuss applications of research findings to educational practices for middle and high school English language learners with low levels of English literacy. Research-based instructional practices will be described, demonstrated, and applied to language and content area classrooms, with particular attention to academic vocabulary and oral language development.
