The Utility of Estimating Bilingualism and Native Language Literacy in the U.S. Immigrant Heritage Language Population

This presentation will demonstrate how U.S. Census data from the American Community Survey (ACS) can be used to estimate bilingualism and native language literacy among selected U.S. immigrant HL populations. It will also discuss the implications of findings using these data for U.S. educational and economic policy in the global economy.
