Researcher-Developed Assessments

As part of the work of the Acquiring Literacy in English initiative, various tests suited to the purposes of each research project or subproject were developed.

Acquiring Literacy in English was one component of a larger research initiative, Development of Literacy in Spanish Speakers (DeLSS), that was jointly organized and funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) and the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the Department of Education. The development of these tests was supported by Grant No. 5-P01-HD39530 from NICHD and IES.

Some of these tests can be made available to qualified researchers. To request the use of one or more tests, complete and submit the Test User’s Application Form.
