BEST Plus Test Administrators
BEST Plus test administrators play a crucial role in ensuring that examinees give their optimum performance. Fostering a positive attitude, creating a conducive testing environment, and referencing the BEST Plus Scoring Rubric as the basis for scoring are important actions to ensure fairness to examinees. These and other responsibilities are contained in the BEST Plus User Agreement, signed by each test administrator after training.
If you are a newly trained BEST Plus Test Administrator, read important information to help you get started.
Only trained test administrators may administer BEST Plus.
Test Administrators should follow procedures for administration and scoring as outlined in the Test Administrator Guide.
The BEST Plus Scoring Rubric should be placed near the test administrator and referred to during each test administration.
Raw scores on the semi-adaptive print-based version of BEST Plus must be converted to a scale score using the BEST Plus Score Management Software available on the red BEST Plus Test CD or the BEST Plus Test: USB. You can also download the Enhanced Score Management Software for free to score the print-based version without the CD or USB.
