- In the print-based version, a quick locator determines the appropriate level of the test form for the examinee.
- Each examinee's oral English skills are assessed accurately by a trained test administrator.
- Takes 3 to 20 minutes to administer, depending on the

proficiency of the examinee.

- Test items reflect language used in everyday life in the U.S. – at home, at work, and in the community.

Informative and versatile score reports
- Completed test scores are expressed in terms of a BEST
Plus score, Student Performance Levels (SPLs)

ESL.
- Scores from the print-based version are
entered
into the Score Management Software to generate
the same score reports as the
computer-adaptive version.
- Score reports from the computer-adaptive

can be printed, saved as plain text
files, or
saved as files compatible with word
processors
(e.g., MS Word) or spreadsheets
