This informative and interactive one-day workshop helps participants understand the fundamentals of dual language education and use that knowledge to evaluate starting or enhancing a dual language program on their campus.
Topics include exploring the research base and learning key components of dual language programming and instruction. Participants will identify strategies for developing and enhancing dual language programs and examine best practices of successful programs. Examples and information from the widely-used Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education will be shared through a range of hands-on activities. Practical research-based instructional strategies and opportunities to share ideas with colleagues are embedded throughout the presentation.
