About COR Center

The Cultural Orientation Resource Center moderates and administers the Refugee Discussion electronic discussion group. The purpose of Refugee Discussion is to exchange ideas, promising practices, and information regarding refugees, asylees, entrants, and other relevant client groups eligible for services funded by the Department of State/Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration and/or Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families/Office of Refugee Resettlement. Conversation addresses the background and characteristics of client groups, their cultural/community orientation needs, and their resettlement experiences.

Membership is limited to Overseas Processing Entity staff, overseas CO providers, staff of not-for-profit agencies providing direct services to appropriate clients in the U.S., and relevant federal, State, and local government officials.
