This video/DVD from the Cultural Orientation Resource Center was created to help refugees adjust to their new lives in the United States. Topics include:

• Rights and responsibilities of refugees
  

This resource was developed for use in overseas refugee orientation programs and may also be used by resettlement agency staff conducting refugee orientation in the U.S. The video/DVD is divided into five parts reinforcing key points in each chapter of the Welcome to the United States refugee guidebook. Throughout the viewing, former refugees living in the U.S. share their experiences and perspectives with newly arriving refugees.

The video (VHS format) is currently available in English, Af-Maay, Arabic, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Farsi, French, Hmong, Karen, Kirundi, Nepali, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, and Vietnamese, while the DVD version is currently available in English, Arabic, Farsi, Hmong, Karen, Kirundi, Nepali, Russian, Somali, and Swahili.
