Types of Programs

Regular FLES (Foreign Language in the Elementary School) Programs
 FLES programs concentrate on the development of listening and speaking skills and on cultural awareness.

Content-Based FLES Programs
A variation of FLES, these programs use the foreign language to teach some subject content from the regular school curriculum.

Immersion Programs
Immersion programs use a second language to teach all or parts of the academic curriculum.
