New SOPA and ELLOPA Online Courses and Workshops
CAL is offering new sessions of our popular Student Oral Proficiency (SOPA) and Early Language Listening and Oral Proficiency Assessment (ELLOPA) online courses that teach participants how to administer and rate our widely used oral proficiency assessments. We are also working with the Assessment and Evaluation Language Resource Center (AELRC) to hold a workshop on September 24, 2016.

In Memoriam: Braj B. Kachru
CAL is saddened by the passing of Braj B. Kachru, a visionary and advocate of World Englishes, the field he pioneered and led. He was also an influential scholar on the languages of India and published extensive studies on Kashmiri.
