Presented at: ECOLT 2015

In computer-adaptive testing, items are drawn from an item bank with a range of difficulty levels, and the items that best fit examinee ability are sequentially administered. Successful implementation of computer-adaptive testing rests on the quality of its item bank. Maintaining such an item bank entails efforts to ensure content alignment between the test and its intended construct, to monitor item performances in operational testing, and to refresh items periodically.
