Bilingual Preschool in Greensburg Speaks to Demand for Earlier Foreign Language Instruction

A preschool will soon open in Greensburg, PA, in which students will learn in English and French. Anna Maria Skop says students in her school will be spoken to in French 75% of the time and switch to English for formal instruction. Nancy Rhodes, Senior Consultant for World Language Education at CAL, reports that recent studies point to a number of ways early absorption of a foreign tongue can boost children's development.
