Reviving the Ancient Language of the Mohawks

A group of adult students in Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, near Montreal, are attending an immersion class to learn Kanien'kéha, the ancient language of their Mohawk ancestors, and help ensure the language's survival. Prospective students must write an essay and be interviewed before they can join the class, which is held five days a week for 10 months of the year.
