To Keep the Dakota Language Alive, a Young Woman Looks to Preschoolers

A Dakota language immersion school for up to 74 Early Head Start and preschool-age children in Minnesota will open in June to introduce the language to a new generation of speakers. Led by Vanessa Goodthunder, who has a master's degree in education, the school will focus on teaching the Dakota language and culture.
