Enhancing English Language Learning in Elementary Classrooms

Dates: January 2005 – June 2005 and July 2005 – June 2006
These projects each entailed conducting four 30-hour courses for mainstream elementary teachers. The training was designed to teach the skills and knowledge required to shelter content instruction and work successfully with limited English proficient students. Completion of this training fulfilled a part of Massachusetts Department of Education required professional development. This course provided an option to earn graduate credit through Cambridge College with additional assignments including an online session.
