NIFL Technical Assistance for Program Planning

This project focused on providing guidance for the NIFL on future directions in adult ESL research and education. CAL convened groups of adult ESL experts, conducted a literature review and an environmental scan, reviewed the literature and wrote background papers on topics in education for adults learning English, immigrant populations in the United States, working with adult English language learners with limited literacy, uses of technology in instruction, and career pathways for this population.
