ESL Standards

Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, Inc. (TESOL) announces the second TESOL Pre-K¬12 ESL Standards Training of Trainers (ToT) Conference, January 7-8 (Fri.-Sat.), 2000, at The Westin Hotel in Long Beach, California. The following will be among the topics covered:

• ESL Standards-Based Curriculum Development and Instruction
• ESL Standards-Based Assessment
• The ESL Standards in Action: A Case Study of the California English Language Development (ELD) Standards

The ESL Standards ToT Conference is designed for experienced professionals who work in standards-based reform for English language learners; ESL and bilingual specialists from departments of education; staff developers and curriculum specialists; and faculty from teacher education institutions.
