From At-Risk to Excellence: Research, Theory, and Principles for Practice
This report discusses the premises and principles that guide the work conducted by the Center for Research on Education, Diversity & Excellence (CREDE). Drawn from a synthesis of multidisciplinary research that focuses on at-risk youth, the principles include joint productive activity, language and literacy development, contextualization, challenging activities, and instructional conversation.
