Two-Way Immersion
Two-way immersion programs integrate native English speakers and speakers of another language, providing instruction in both languages for all students. Two-way immersion programs promote bilingualism and biliteracy, grade-level academic achievement, and positive cross-cultural attitudes and behaviors in all students.
CAL has a variety of resources available for researchers and educators interested in two-way immersion programs, including publications and an online directory.

2007-08 National Foreign Language Survey
Replicating previous CAL surveys (1987 and 1997) of K-12 foreign language programs, CAL conducted a national survey of public and private elementary and secondary schools. Learn more.
