Ashley Lipps joined CAL in September 2013. She writes and coordinates the development of test administration training materials for WIDA assessments, including test administration manuals and materials designed to familiarize test takers with technology-delivered assessments. She also provides support for various CAL/WIDA project teams. She has been involved in work developing materials for raters of Writing and Speaking responses and has also provided assistance to the test development, technology, and production teams in developing technology-delivered test materials for ACCESS for ELLs 2.0.
Prior to joining CAL, Ashley was program director at Washington English Center, a non-profit organization that provides volunteer-taught English classes for adult learners. She has also spent time working the development of assessment materials for young English learners at National Geographic Learning. She has an MA in TESOL from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and is currently a Master’s in Public Administration candidate at the University of the District of Columbia.
