Emily Magaziner works with the Adult English Language Education team, mainly on the English for Heritage Language Speakers Program.
Prior to joining CAL, Emily was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Turkey and an English Language Fellow in Ukraine. She has a BA in linguistics from Cornell University and an MPhil in theoretical/applied linguistics from the University of Cambridge.
CAL designed and manages English for Heritage Language Speakers (EHLS), an intensive program that enables adult native speakers of critical languages to develop the English proficiency they need to succeed in professional positions in the federal government. EHLS is funded by the National Security Education Program and is conducted in partnership with Georgetown University.
