Via strategies that are interactive, reflective, and action-driven, the purpose of this presentation is to strengthen participants’ ability to serve the needs of English learners at all educational levels. The Cultural Proficiency Continuum, along with tools that can be quickly be implemented at the class, school, or district levels will be shared, as a means to increase educator advocacy, promote enriched rather than remedial instruction, and embody cross-cultural competence.
