Xin Yu works as a Quantitative Research Assistant on the Psychometric Research team at CAL. Starting from October 2013, Xin has been working on the WIDA project. The major part of Xin’s work is to collect, record, analyze and maintain data. Xin also assists teams in preparing technical reports and presentations.
Xin received a Master of Arts degree in Linguistic Studies from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, in May 2013. Xin also holds a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, both awarded by University of Science and Technology Beijing in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, in July 2010 and July 2008, respectively.
Prior to joining CAL, Xin taught Mandarin in Syracuse University for two years. Xin has worked with computer based assessments of English proficiency in Beijing.
