Breaking Down Borders for Multilingual Learners with Disabilities

This Center for Applied Linguistics webinar provided an overview of how educators and policymakers can collaborate to enhance the experiences of multilingual learners with disabilities in schools and in society. We heard from experts Guillermo Solano-Flores, Professor of Education at the Stanford University Graduate School of Education, and Laurene Christensen, Director of Accessibility Research at WIDA. The Webinar was moderated by Alfredo J. Artiles, Lee L. Jacks Professor of Education at Stanford University and CAL Board Trustee, and Justin R. Kelly, Director of Test Development at CAL. This webinar explored ways in which current research can filter down to local advocates to improve the lives of multilingual learners with disabilities.
