Drawing on metaphors and real examples from her own and others’ action research in bi/multilingual education, Dr. Palmer began by framing the present moment – touching on the political, the ideological, the organizational, and the pedagogical – and then proposed a set of key strategies to keep our communities and ourselves engaged in powerful, forward-oriented work even as we find ourselves in a state of continuous defense, reaction and outrage.
