Alima holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maryland Global Campus and an associate degree in HR Management from la Haute École de Commerce et de Management. As a bilingual French/English Interpreter, she holds a Community Interpreter Certificate from Cross Cultural Communication. Building on this foundation, Alima’s professional career has centered on operational excellence, workflow optimization, and relationship management. She previously served as an Assistant Manager of Sales & Operations at Sherwin-Williams and as a Bilingual Customer Care Specialist at Danone North America, managing high-volume accounts and nationwide institutional orders. Previously, she supported HR and administrative functions within the University of Maryland Medical System. Currently, at the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL), Alima supports the growth and delivery of BEST assessments. Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Alima is deeply committed to community service. She serves as a volunteer language translator and tutor and supports the Maryland Food Bank. An active storyteller and Level 8 Google Local Guide, her photography and reviews have reached more than 40 million views on Google Maps, helping a global audience navigate and connect with their local business.”
