Christy graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, with a Bachelor of Science in Teaching English as a Second Language and earned teacher licenses in English as a Second Language K–12 and Middle School English 6–8. Prior to joining CAL, she served as ML (multilingual learner) Teacher for Roanoke City Public Schools (VA), specifically assigned to Grades K–2. Additionally, she worked for the Virginia Department of Education as an EL Resource Developer and Curriculum Enhancer. Christy brings experience and a proven track record of success in developing curriculum for young multilingual learners with a focus in early literacy instruction.
