Xin Yu works as the Quantitative Team Lead on the Psychometric Quantitative Research team at CAL where she works on the WIDA and BEST projects. The major part of her work is to lead project teams to collect, record, analyze and maintain data. Xin also serves as the task lead on multiple complex projects.
Xin had a few papers presented at NCME, LTRC and ECOLT. She worked on the transition of ACCESS for ELLs from a paper-based test to an online test. With this experience, she collaborated with other researchers to work on a paper about multistage testing.
Prior to her career at CAL, Xin spent several years in the early education field where she worked with educators, community facilitators and parents to develop and administer age-appropriate language assessment materials to preschoolers.
