PreK-12 Professional Development Consultant Opportunity
The Center for Applied Linguistics occasionally has a need to recruit professional development (PD) facilitators and coaches to deliver PD services to school districts in the U.S. and abroad. Topics range from newcomers and biliteracy, to sheltered instruction, cultural proficiency and dual language practices and programming. Opportunities may involve synchronous online workshops, moderating asynchronous online courses, and delivering face-to-face PD. Facilitators should be available for at least 4-5 multi-day workshop sessions throughout the school year and summer.
NOTE: CAL’s recruitment of consultants will follow the same Equal Employment regulations as recruitment for staff and will not discriminate in selection based upon race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, handicap, or any other reason not related to employment. In fact, CAL seeks participants from a variety of backgrounds in order to align with our principles of effective professional development and to serve educators of linguistically and culturally diverse students. In accordance with INS regulations, all successful applicants will be required to show proof of their legal right to accept employment in the United States.
