The Center for Applied Linguistics is seeking a research and development intern for the fall semester of 2025.
The intern will report to the Director of Dual Language and Multilingual Education. Learning objectives for the internship include: drafting clear and concise literature reviews that swiftly educate key stakeholders on the critical elements of an issue; writing for public impact on a key topic in the education of multilingual students; and learning skills to support a research brief publication series.
This is a paid internship opportunity, and the intern will be expected to contribute 20 hours per week for the duration of the fall semester. This is a virtual internship opportunity.
We are seeking individuals who:
- Are currently enrolled in a doctoral-level program;
- Are eligible to work in the US;
- Can demonstrate strong background knowledge around current issues, needs, and research in the field of dual language or bilingual education
- Have strong writing, research, and organizational skills
Candidates who are biliterate in English and an additional language are preferred.

For this position, the employee may choose to work in their preferred combination of in person at the D.C. office in a hoteling capacity, or remotely (up to 100% remote).
